Information collected
Liberty Tree collects contact and organization information, intake responses, engagement correspondence, uploaded documents, transaction identifiers and payment status, policy acceptance records, and technical records needed to operate and secure the service. Stripe processes payment-card details; Liberty Tree does not receive or store complete card numbers.
How information is used
Information is used to create and deliver engagements, process and reconcile payments, communicate with clients, review evidence, maintain engagement records, prevent misuse, protect systems, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Liberty Tree does not sell personal information or use engagement documents for targeted advertising.
Service providers and disclosures
Information is disclosed only as reasonably necessary to providers supporting hosting, payment processing, private storage, email delivery, security, and professional services; to authorized client representatives; to comply with law or valid legal process; to protect rights and safety; or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
Current core providers include Stripe for payment processing, Supabase for engagement records and private document storage, Resend for transactional email, and the site's hosting provider. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy commitments.
Retention
Uploaded working documents and portal files are ordinarily retained for 90 days after final delivery, then deleted from active systems unless a longer period is agreed in writing or required for a dispute, security matter, or legal obligation. Contract, acceptance, invoice, payment, and essential business records may be retained for up to seven years. Backup copies may persist for a limited period before scheduled deletion.
Security
Liberty Tree uses access controls, private storage, encrypted transmission, server-side authorization, limited personnel access, and service providers selected for appropriate safeguards. No system can guarantee absolute security. Clients should avoid sending information that is not needed for the engagement.
Cookies and site measurement
The current site does not use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral tracking. Essential hosting, security, and payment technologies may process technical information needed to provide their functions. If site measurement practices materially change, this policy will be updated before the new use begins.
Your choices and requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting Liberty Tree through the contact page. Liberty Tree will verify the request and respond as required by applicable law. Some records may be retained where needed for contracts, payment records, security, legal compliance, or the establishment or defense of claims.
Business use and children
The service is intended for organizations and their authorized adult representatives. It is not directed to children, and Liberty Tree does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes and contact
Material changes will be posted with a new effective date. Questions, privacy requests, or security concerns should be submitted through the Liberty Tree contact page and should include the engagement reference when applicable.
