1. Agreement and authority
By purchasing an engagement, submitting intake information, or using the engagement portal, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the organization identified in the intake. You represent that you have authority to provide its information and bind it to the engagement terms.
2. Engagement scope
The PFAS Evidence Readiness Engagement is a $7,500 fixed-fee consulting engagement for one defined PFAS documentation request and no more than three specifically identified products or SKUs. The controlling scope consists of the offer shown at purchase, the completed intake, and Liberty Tree's written scope confirmation.
Liberty Tree may decline or pause work if the submitted request cannot be completed responsibly within the stated scope. Work beyond the confirmed scope requires a written change order describing the added work, fee, and schedule.
3. Fees and payment
A $2,500 deposit reserves the engagement and is credited to the fixed fee. After intake review and written scope confirmation, Liberty Tree invoices the $5,000 balance. The balance is due before production begins. Taxes, if legally required, are additional.
The Refund and Cancellation Policy governs cancellations, refunds, and declined engagements.
4. Client responsibilities
You are responsible for providing complete, accurate, authorized, and current information; identifying the exact products and request in scope; disclosing deadlines and known evidence gaps; and responding promptly to clarification requests. You must not upload malicious code, unlawfully obtained information, export-controlled material, personal health information, payment-card data, Social Security numbers, or other information unnecessary for the engagement.
5. Delivery and schedule
The target delivery period is 10 business days after complete intake, receipt of core documents, written scope confirmation, and balance payment. Missing information, requested changes, third-party delays, or circumstances outside Liberty Tree's reasonable control pause or extend the schedule.
6. Nature and limits of the service
Liberty Tree organizes, evaluates, and documents available evidence. It does not perform laboratory testing, certify legal or regulatory compliance, provide legal opinions, or guarantee acceptance by any customer, regulator, auditor, marketplace, or other reviewer. The deliverables reflect the documents and public sources reasonably available during the engagement and may identify unknowns or conflicts rather than resolve them.
You remain responsible for business, technical, legal, regulatory, and customer-response decisions. Counsel, laboratories, engineers, or other qualified professionals should review matters requiring their expertise.
7. Deliverables and permitted use
After full payment, you may use the final engagement deliverables internally and provide them to the customer or reviewer identified in the confirmed scope. Liberty Tree retains ownership of its pre-existing methods, templates, software, know-how, and generalized non-confidential improvements. You may not resell the deliverables as a standalone product or remove source, limitation, or attribution language in a way that makes the record misleading.
8. Confidentiality and data handling
The Confidentiality and Data Handling Policy applies to engagement materials. The Privacy Policy explains the handling of contact, transaction, and site information.
9. Warranties and liability
Liberty Tree will perform the services professionally and in accordance with the confirmed scope. Except for that commitment, the services and deliverables are provided without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement to the extent permitted by law.
To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost business arising from the engagement. Liberty Tree's aggregate liability arising from an engagement will not exceed the fees actually paid for that engagement. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or to fraud, willful misconduct, or obligations that cannot legally be limited.
10. Suspension and termination
Liberty Tree may suspend or terminate an engagement for nonpayment, unlawful or abusive use, material misrepresentation, security risk, or material breach. Either party may cancel as described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Provisions concerning payment, confidentiality, ownership, service limitations, and liability survive termination.
11. General terms
Neither party may assign the engagement without the other party's written consent, except in connection with a merger, reorganization, or sale of substantially all relevant assets. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A waiver must be in writing. These Terms, the policies linked here, the purchased offer, and the written scope confirmation form the entire agreement unless the parties sign a separate agreement that expressly controls.
